Non-profit status
The tax office of the Canton of Zurich has decided: "The association Bawa Ndege, based in Winterthur, is exempt from state and municipal taxes as well as direct federal taxes, effective from its founding, due to its pursuit of charitable purposes." This means that all donations to Bawa Ndege can be deducted from personal taxes. As a result, one can do something good while also benefiting from a tax advantage.
