Bioncy packed her school backpack every evening

Bioncy was a frightened and intimidated girl when we first visited her at her grandmother's. She is gradually losing her eyesight due to a congenital non-malignant brain tumor. Every evening she packed her small backpack in the hope of being able to go to school the next morning like the other children. Her grandmother lacked the financial means and support to initiate the necessary investigations. After a few investigations we found an integrated school for children with visual impairments. Bioncy has been attending this school for some time now. When we visited her, she was playing with her friends and laughing carefree. She showed us the bedroom and her bed as a matter of course. My heart overflowed with joy and my eyes filled with tears. The previously frightened girl can now be a completely normal, happy child and, thanks to her education, has hope for a future.
